The Canterbury foothills are the tussock ranges and river valleys that run along the edge of the Southern Alps, such as the Two Thumb Range, the Hakatere Conservation Park and the Rakaia valley.
The club's reports here are mostly recent and include trips to Crooked Spur Hut, Cloudy Peak, Mt Potts, and the Two Thumb Range. A couple are winter trips, with snow and frozen boots.
