The Richmond Range separates Nelson from Marlborough, and most of it lies in Mt Richmond Forest Park. It is steep, forested country with long open ridges above the bush.
The club's trips are mostly medium to fit: Mt Rintoul, Mt Richmond, Old Man Hut, Mid Goulter Hut, Roebuck Hut and Lake Chalice.
