Wellington has plenty of tramping right in the city and its surroundings. The club's trips here are mostly short: day walks along the Skyline Walkway and over Kaukau, trips out to Makara and the south coast near Red Rocks, and wanders around the harbour from Eastbourne to Belmont and Butterfly Creek.
Many of these are easy-medium. They include family outings, city-to-sea walks, navigation training days, and visits to Matiu / Somes Island. They suit anyone wanting a short outing without a long drive.
