A brief report on those trips done in November and December - Xmas trips not included, as best of these should appear in the journal.
Nov. 1 - 3: A Combie load went into the Ohau area and enjoyed something along Medium lines. The F.E. trip changed plans, and tramped up to Vosseler, down the Hector River and back to Otaki via Concertina Knob - all in beautifully fine weather.
Nov. 8 - 10: Two trips - an easy to Renata, and a medium down the Waiotauru - weather rather wet, but it was good fun. The Club also had 2 teams and the Search Controller in the Police SAREX.
Nov. 15 - 17: Mt. House working party and track clean up. A band of clean people dragged up several piles and work was started on putting these in as well as fixing up a new rubbish hole. A rubbish hole has also been dug at the Totara Flats turn off, on the Atiwhakatu side of the track.
Nov. 22 - 24: Medium - Schormans - Ruapae Stream together with an easy up the Mangatainoka and an F.E. that went into the Ngapuketurua and out over a knob named Pohehe - filled up a bus.
Nov. 29 - Dec. 1: 3 trips and 2 busloads. A Walls Whare - Smiths was responsible for 1 bus. The other bus went into the Forks and with packs in a rover some ran the road. The two trips, a Southern, and a variation down Beehive Spur and up Hells Gate Stream.
Dec. 6 - 8: Walls Whare Bushcraft - not much to report here.
Dec. 14: Xmas party - 'Can't Remember' ??? A Disco kept the outfit going, but unfortunately the turnout was small. Generally well organised thanks to those involved.
