During the Xmas oeriod, the club saw its usual number of trips head for the South Island. A Duration cf the trips ranging from ten days to six weeks. 2 Fine weather was experienced on most SELCy with the occasional showery day to give a weicome break in the usual hot South Island summer: ?: ak : Fortunately this year no mishaps were experienced during this a¢tive holiday period except for one unfortunate person who was flown out of the hills on the third dey, under police direction. This was due to an unforseen illness in the family. : The usual weekend club trins were off to a late start in Januery, this was due to Xmas trios finishing on later dates then usual. Later in the month the club ios were out in full strength. So-far the weather has been fine nearly every weekend.
