Kaikouras - sometime in Fugust raul Aubrey, Tony Gazley and myself went down to the Inland Kaikouras to do some climbing. Unfortunately the snow. conditions were hopeless - hopelessly deep and soft, and it took .us all our energy to struggle up Tappy. Tony plougheé up to Pinnacle/Tappy gadGle where he found himself a neck deep hole - ah, too much so Tony skied down from here. We re~ sorted to all sorts of techniques, such es crawling on the snow
