Teh ‘psople™ went down on: ‘the club trap to this Range. _ Warren, ae emulating Mario andretti- or, soméone, got us down to the road end ‘in quick time’ on Friday night. Incidentally, it took about as long as it takes to get to the Inland Kaikouras. Next day wasn't very long and most of us were in our pits by midday as it was miserably cold and snowing steadily. ~The following day was fine and we made good time to Manakau, Gespite having snow all the way fram our base camp at 2400 ft. -6 hours to the top, about 3% back. Beaut views, ‘excellent crampon conditions, everybody going like a bomb, @ good aay. _ The following was as bad as the inh so we left early. Thanks Paul Aubrey for a good bets. Coupandions were Tony Gazley, Jeff Connell, Dave Wills, Dave Cook, Dan Wilson, Warren Thorburn, Trevor Bissell, Bruce McKinlay, and Paul Richardson. .
