Notes on the back of paper designed more for flushing, suggest that Chris Collins, Lesley Marshall, Greg Aimer, Dan Wilson, and Dave Wills travelled to Arthur's Pass over Labour weekend with the Alpine Club. Their main object was Mt. Rolleston (7453 ft) via the Crow Face, 23 . pan says Lesley turned deviant on arrival and set off for Mt. Murchison (7873 ft} (that's miles away Dan...) The face climb was accomplished in fine weather and in fine style although many were reluctant to assume any other position than horizontal. Greg and Chris resisted the forces of gravity and set off for Mt. Harper (7324 ft) while Dave and Dan were content to explore the sides of Mt. Stewart and ponder on what the Jellicoe Ridge had to offer. Dan says all in all a very enjoyable weekend amidst some beautiful. scenery.’ ri oe
