A poor turn out for a lousy weekend. The sensible stayed at home. Pinnacle Ridge was our target. Friday night it rained, on ; Saturday morning the Atiwhakatu was still crossable. Question was if we went up Pinnacle Ridge would we be able to cross back again toe the campsites on the true right. .Decision - reverse the trip, do Pinnacle Ridge on Sunday. ; An early lunch in mid Atiwhakatu hut. It was raining harder than ever. Oh well, we can still de Pinnacle Ridge from the hut. It was a bit cold. We had-no axe. Never’ mind, the easy trip will soon ke along. They have an axe.
