I: was very pleased to be asked to lead my tirat. trip. ~We left town at 7.15 pm on Friday night, arriving at Ohau (after taking a wrong turn) about 8.30 pm. After meeting up with the rest of: our party it was into the pit under the swing bridge. t Up at a reasonable hour to the smeil of bacon and eggs. cooked by some of the Medium party (won't say who) still in the pit. Left the road end for an easy walk around the gorge to the Ohau shelter. Wandere@ up river and found a nice spot to pitch the flies, Spent most of the afternoon sleeping in the sun while the Girls and Boys found some deep holes in the river. in which to swim, The usual stew for tea (made by all), very nice. Retired 11,30. pm. Sunday morning ‘breakfast at 8 am and a wander about the. valley’ floor, Plenty of Rata in bloom.
