The trip began with 16, Five fell by the wayside with bunged knees, blisters, and the need to meet the girlfriend. -Eleven made it. The weather was changeable to say the least. We were forced well to the east of the divide for much of the trip, and had to make an unintended detour down the Nina. This added to the distance, and one day we did 21 miles. It rained in the Taramakau but fortunately we found a large hut. We looked at Temple col and decided that we might miss the bus. So we ended up with an easy last day down the Minga. On the trip were Mike Hollis, Mike Nixon, Sue and Malcolm Charles, Pam and Rob Whitla, Dennis and Frances Gazley, Kerry and Matthew Stevens, Matthew Comesky, Derek Bunting, Stuart Lusty, Grant Hillyer, Barry Kooistra and Peter Jackson.
SCRABBLE = oo oe = oe SE oo Mike took a pocket scrabble set on the trip, but no dictionary. The inevitable happened. According to the Concise Oxford Dictionary the following are not words - Gid (a sheep disease which makes sheep giddy claimed Rob) Sox The following are words - Pigged (but not the meaning Grant gave it) Quad Bosh (I knew I was right)
