an early lunch. Then up a spur onto Triangle Knob and up again onto Dundas Ridge. The weather was mainly fine and calm as we wandered.aliong towards Arete. Once on Aréte we could see Mt Egmont poking out.of a thick layer. ef cloud that was spread out below us. We arrived at Te Matawai Hut just as it was getting dark. ' The Fit Trip were there and after a great meal cooked by Kev everyone hit the pit. Next morning we headed down into Butcher's: Saddle; over Richard's Knob and then scrambled through another saddle (this one packed with leatherwood) and up onto Twin Peak. From there it was onto Waiopehu Peak and down to Weldppenu Hut for lunch.
