Back,on the track to Tongariro we epread ont e bit until craig ana y Ted had to-wait 25 mins. for us'to catch up. The trip was a fairly boring walk because it was overcast and cold all the-way., We were pleased to * reach Mangatepopo Hut by lpm for lunch, 'TIt was.then that the weather ' pleosed in and prevented us from going higher up the mountain. Ted, Craig “- “ana Jean did a walk up to the lava flows in the. area while the rest stayed "at the Hut. By night fali the Hut was full including 5 overseas people which provided plenty of entertainment. The Trip Leader spent a peaceful night there but the rest of the party kept hearing a very deep rumbling noise ~ it was Neii snoring and Maria talking all night. ..
