After walking up the Bruce Rd. at 12.00, fine weather so far, we Fits took over the Iwikau Shelter for the night, interrupted only by a manly bunch of ruggedly omnipotent Futilely Expeditious 24 hour 3 peakers later to-turn in 24 hour in the pub-ers - and a skill saw starting up .in the next door ski patrol room at 8.00 in the morning. . Snowed overnight. Snowed all day. We played in the snow up near the Alpine Hut. Ian ate a moro bar. It snowed. Ian ate another moro bar. Later that day we wandered down to Whakapapaiti Hut. Martin (call me Marty) lost his ice axe only 4 times in the 50 min. trip. Wizard. The E's and M's were in residense! Snowed overnight. Quote "There'll be*snow on the ground in the morning." Lange won the election. Ian was seen frantically searching for a moro bar. Cindy kept us entertained Saying 'So:' and 'talk' or both together or even occaSionally "How's-— life-so-talk." Dean amazed us with tomato sauce, butter and margarine, Blazing sunshine alternating with heavy snow afforded us a very picture- Heoef2

skew walk out in the morning. Greg had to leave only 4% hours early to get to the Chateau in time for the bus, because for some reason he had only brought ski boots with him. Marty and Anthony couldn't handle the thought of a new route out, so they walked back uphill exactly the same way we walked in. It was definitely a 100% extremely beautiful walk out. Four jerseys on top of each other for Bruce, partial removal of the Chateau golf course for Greg, a moro bar for ... you guessed it Ian, and we were back on the bus for a quick trip home. On trip: Ian, Bruce (100% the leader), Greg, Dean (man of stature), Dan (author not scribe or anything else), Nic, Anthony, Martin.
