DEBORAH CRAIG Sunday the 9th of October I arrived at Wellingtan Station at 9.00am feeling a little nervous as I am fairly new to the Club. I soon felt at ease when Kate found me wandering around trying to find the bus, We waited a while for others to arrive. When Kate was satisfied that no-one else was going to turn up we set off.

Vhen we arrived at Mt Bruce we had a iook around the avaries and nocturnal complexes. Later we had lunch which was a tremendous group effort with everyone putting in a hundred percent.

After lunch we went into the little theatre and watched a video on the wildlife in New Zealand. Then one of the staff talkd to us about some of the wildlife species they have in the centre. He told us about the Tui that was raised by humans and therefore thought he was one. The guy who raised him had taught hin to wolfwhistle so on ovr second time around a few of us went and visited him and sure enough he did wolfwhistle. It was well worth the second visit just to hear hin.

I really enjoyed the trip. ] scan got to know a few people and they made me feel quite welcome, I think everyone had a good time.
