Sunshine Grove. If you want more of an ad venturous walk and somewhat longer than the Five Mile Track ! would recommend it. From the tops you get nice views over Wainuiomata and Wellington harbour in the distance.
Ts: Whakanui Track starts from the roadend at enjoyed by all. But it does not end there; dessert consisted of a chocolate fondue laced with brandy and cream with various seasoned fruits.
Sunday we took the Five Mile track back to the Catchpool to join in the picnic festivities for the WITMC 50" anniversary. Sorry to say_our team_lost____ Met with other clubbies at Paua and the evening passed by with. much clatter and a few songs with Howard strumming the guitar. Ruth organised an Indian curry for the evening meal. Her expertise from cooking classes was tasted and the tug-of-war against a few older members of the Club, despite our huge efforts.
