Watching white wrinkly feet turn pink and healthy again after a whole day in wet boots; ¢e Finding a grassy spot to camp after two days of grey riverbed. Marilyn Duffy * The discovery of a sleeping bag liner has transformed the experience of sleeping under a fly from great to luxurious (well, almost). <= —— — a oo “ I never thought grass could look so great — each patch is getting the eye over for its potential as a campsite Mary Morgan Walking up the gorge on Saturday seemed like a hard slog especially as we didn’t find a campsite until 5.30pm... but it suddenly took on a whole new appeal on Day 2 when it was a choice of walking back down the gorge or scaling the mountain with shear drops at the top in problem winds. The weather has been kind, to say the least, over the past few days and this, teamed with great food and good company has compensated (somewhat) for that terrible scree that slowed us down and thus altered our trip — I WANT MY BATH! Elizabeth Harrington “e I got very attached to my hat, to grass, to sitting down, and to eating at every possible opportunity.
