Scree Fest, Easter 2005. Fraser Crichton, Rowan Payne, Andrew Squires, David Jewell, Sharron Came, Alison Stevenson, Paul Grimwood and for part of the time a random yank headed into the rock strewn area of the South Temple Valley for some climbing adventures. Anice van, a slightly bizarre mug hunt, heavy packs (must remember not fo volunteer to carry two ropes), inclement weather, lots of up hill, plenty of scree, and some pretty chossy rock, were incidentals fo an easy sunny Easter Sunday ascent of peak 2200 that provided awesome views over Lake Ohau and the Canterbury high plains near Twizel all the way up the Ohau range, the Huxley and Dobson Valleys through to Mount Cook in the north and west to Mount Huxley

Seed minutes later I joined him 50 m up. It was y; se 5 now snowing mildly in an uphill direction. We down- climbed and headed out.
