June 30 - July 2: Karen Bunckenburg led an easy trip of 9 up to Dobsons and into Smiths, and Neil Woodrow led the medium trip of 13 through 3 feet of snow over Reeves. There was even snow at Tutuwai in the Tauherenikau Valley. Dave Wills led a group climbing at Whanganui Bay on Lake Taupo.
July 7 - 9: Karen Bunckenburg was out again, leading a fit trip up Cattle Ridge, while Brian Charles led 3 FE types in that area.
The next weekend we had to cancel the tramping trips but the AIC to our hut was the full 36.
July 21 - 23: Barry Kivell looked after the easy and mediums which combined and went up to Kime. Neil Woodrow led the 17 others across the Southern in misty and wet conditions - almost no snow left.
