RECENT TRIPS The amount of feed>ack I get to write something about the trips that run (or don't! kas amcunted to almost zero during the past year. This is a pity because tramping activity is the very reason for the existerce of cur oluk. Z'm sure it isn't too much to ask for ty members to write a few Lines about their trip, insteac 9:

6-8 Och: Ruehines Neil Weodrcw Led the FE trip of three, They went up Government Spur but the track stopped before the top. Ian Bunckenburg led the Medium trip of about 20 people. The weather was bad on Saturday, good on Sunday. Jobn Paxton led a Sunday trip to Makara goldmines.

Labour Weekend Neil Woodrow lead the ski trip to Ruapehu, about 20 people. Jack McConchie led the FE trip to the Ruahines. Mark Pickering led the Rasy-Medium. Bad weather generally. 27-29 Occ: Greater Northern Led by Lindsay Cuthbertson on a beautiful fine weekend. Apparently people were drepping out all over the place. Hugh Middieton led the Medium trip and Adam bicSweeney led the Easy trip which was in the Holdsworth area,

3-5 Nowe The FE trip did not run. Lesley Marshall led a group down Pakihore Ridge on the Fit trip, and Sean Wakely led the Easy trip. There was a bus load this weekend.

10-12 Nov: : . This weekend will be remembered for the vain. John Paxton led the Fit trip, Paul Aubrey led ne Medium trip. 17-19 Nov: Ruahines again David Wills led the FE trip of seven. On this occasion PE meant fairly easy since the party ended up seriously misplaced on Saturday night. Total tramping on Sunday required a good half hour tramp to the bus. To save Dave further embarrassment collective responsibility must be assumed, The Fit trip led by Evan Cunliffe also lost its way on Saturday but still managed to do their trip. Bruce McKinlay led the Easy rie up to Purity Hut.- Saturday was : aoe we: was fine. : 24-26 Nov: . The FE trip went from ‘Kaitawa iO: Prout Stream and then out to Otaki Forks. Four on the trip, The.
