E Dr 30am ‘Saturday we worked our way up crumbly rocky Surveyor Spur and then split into two parties. One lot ploddéd through the snow to the: top-of Manukau and back - a gruelling 15 hour effort which could not eliminate the feelings of exhilaration at having done the ts ae trip =, and in glorious weather. .
